HELPING OUR COMMUNITY
We want to ensure that we are not simply getting permits approved, it is because of the support of our community that we continue to grow. We are so grateful for all of our clients and love the opportunity to give back to those in need. The Charities we have chosen to support both focus on feeding the hungry. Food is one of the most basic of human needs and for families facing a crisis, the stress caused by wondering where their next meal is coming from is something that we want to help alleviate.
The Calgary Food Bank
Since December 2020, Robert Carpenter, Owner, and President of Seven Day Permits has volunteered at the Calgary Food Bank. For 2.5 hours a week, he assists in sorting and checking food donations that are received. This has been a humbling experience for Rob, for a couple of hours each week he takes a break from the craziness of business to reflect on those in need.
The Food Bank is always looking for amazing volunteers, Click Here to check out how you can help them!
Brown Bagging For Calgary Kids
Starting in 2021 Rob became aware of BB4CK, their work, and the issues this charity has set out to solve. It immediately hit home. As a father of 2 girls, the thought of there being kids in Calgary that do not have access to a healthy lunch is a problem that can not be ignored.
Through volunteering and donations, Seven Day Permits is very excited to be a corporate sponsor of this organization. Rob Volunteers every 2 weeks at 6:30 am as part of the "Early Bird" kitchen shift. Along with some other incredible volunteers, they make sandwiches for the daily lunches that are sent out to over 200 schools across Calgary.
In addition to volunteering, Seven Day Permits has also committed a portion of every project completed to BB4CK:
Every project we do gives 5 local kids a lunch!
Some additional Information about BB4CK:
We fed more than 6,300 kids this year.
Our mission is to connect and inspire people to take meaningful action to feed and care for kids.
We’re working towards a future where no kids go hungry.
Kids are fed from a combination of our downtown kitchen, groups in the community, and funded, school-based programs. We are also currently providing grocery cards to families with children learning at home.
Every little bit helps, please check out CFB and BB4CK and support them in any way you can!
